Never use salt water or pepper water to wash, otherwise it will aggravate the itching. Try not to scratch. Scratching will not only damage the skin, but also cause secondary dermatitis and eczema changes. Scratching can make the local sensory nerves more excited and sensitive due to repeated stimulation, further aggravating the itching. The patient will scratch more and more as the itchiness increases, and the more he scratches, the more itchy it becomes, forming a vicious circle.

You can use anti-itch ointments containing mint and borneol to relieve itching, and use more skin creams at the same time, but do not use topical medications containing hormones at will. In addition to reducing the frequency and duration of bathing, patients with pruritus should be careful not to scrub, lower the water temperature, and avoid scalding. Because thermal stimulation can suppress the sensation of itching, most patients with pruritus prefer to use high-temperature water for "scalding washing". This will make them feel comfortable at the time, but "scalding washing" will seriously damage the sebum film on the surface of the skin, making the skin drier and the itching more severe.

3. Wear loose cotton underwear and do not allow any residual detergent or other chemical ingredients to remain on the clothes.

4. The indoor temperature should not be too high: The indoor heating temperature should not be too high in autumn and winter. You can use a humidifier or plant flowers and plants to maintain appropriate indoor humidity. Appropriate temperature and humidity can reduce the evaporation of skin moisture.

6. Develop the habit of drinking water at regular times and in regular amounts: If you only drink water when you feel thirsty, your body will be in a state of dehydration, and once the body is dehydrated, it will lose water from the skin. To keep your skin moisturized, you must pay attention to replenishing water for your body in time. Eat a balanced diet and people with dry skin can increase their fat intake appropriately.
