In our lives, burns are very easy to happen. For example, when cooking, because you are too impatient, you use your hands to lift the lid of the pot, and end up getting scalded by the steam inside. Or you may get scalded by boiling water when boiling water, etc. When encountering such a problem, you should master some first aid knowledge for burns. If it's not serious, you can handle it yourself. If it's serious, you need to go to the hospital. Treatment of burns 1. Rinse the injured area with cold water first, then soak the injured area in cold water for half an hour. Generally speaking, the earlier the soaking time and the lower the water temperature (not lower than 5℃ to avoid frostbite), the better the effect. However, if the wound has blistered and broken, do not soak it to prevent infection. 2. Gently apply light salt water to the burned area to reduce inflammation. 3. Apply soy sauce, honey, lard, dog oil, or ginger juice on the injured area, which will be effective. 4. Use egg white, cooked honey or sesame oil, mix well and apply to the injured area, which has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. 5. Cut five or so slices of raw pear and apply them to the burned area, which has a astringent and analgesic effect. 6. After a child is scalded, boil 25 grams of black beans with water to make a thick juice, and apply it to the wound. It is effective. 7. For mild burns, you can roast the dry tea leaves over fire until they are slightly charred, then grind them into powder, mix them with vegetable oil to make a paste, and apply it to the injured area to reduce swelling and relieve pain. 8. After the skin of hands or feet is scalded, immediately pour alcohol into a basin or bucket and immerse the injured area in the alcohol. This will relieve pain, reduce redness and prevent blistering. If soaked for 1-2 hours, the scalded skin can gradually return to normal. If the injured area is not in a location that is easily soaked, you can soak a piece of cotton wool in white wine, take it out and apply it to the injured area, and keep pouring wine on the cotton wool at any time to prevent it from drying out. Good results can be obtained even after several hours. 9. After the skin is scalded by oil or boiling water, you can apply Fengyoujing, Wanhua Oil or vegetable oil (such as sesame oil) directly to the wound. If the skin is not broken, the pain can usually be relieved within 5 minutes. 10. Apply chloramphenicol eye ointment to the injured area, which will reduce swelling and relieve pain after a few minutes. 11. After getting scalded, apply some soap immediately to temporarily reduce swelling and relieve pain. 12. After a minor burn, immediately soak the injured area in kerosene. It will relieve pain after a few minutes and have the effect of reducing swelling and preventing blistering. At home, if a small area of burn occurs, the easiest way is to immediately apply toothpaste to the burned area. This not only relieves pain but also prevents blisters. If blisters appear, it’s okay. Applying some toothpaste will make the blisters disappear on their own, thus avoiding infection. |
