When it comes to tumors, no one is not afraid. It can be said that people are very scared when talking about tumors. Indeed, tumors or tumors, which can also be called soft tissue tumors in medicine, are a very difficult disease to cure. It can be said that there is no good way to treat this disease so far. Therefore, many patients with soft tissue tumors will be pessimistic and disappointed. So what kind of disease is this soft tissue tumor? Medical definition of soft tissue tumor: Soft tissue sarcomas originate from fat, fascia, muscle, fiber, lymph and blood vessels, each with different histological and biological characteristics and different tendencies of local infiltration, hematogenous and lymphatic metastasis. Lung metastasis is more common, and the incidence rate of different parts of the body is ranked as lower limbs, trunk, head and neck, upper limbs. Liposarcoma and fibrosarcoma may also occur in the retroperitoneum. Soft tissue sarcomas are mostly malignant. Tumor types vary by age. Treatment: 1. Surgical treatment For a tumor to be completely resectable, it must be removed together with the surrounding normal tissue, including the biopsy site, skin, and nearby muscles. For intramuscular tumors, the affected muscle should be completely removed from head to tail. Lymph node dissection was performed only when lymph node involvement was clinically demonstrated. For soft tissue tumors that cannot be completely removed, debulking surgery is used, followed by other treatments after surgery to improve the patient's quality of life and prolong the patient's life. For giant retroperitoneal liposarcoma, debulking surgery can be performed first, followed by radiotherapy. Amputation surgery is suitable for patients with advanced giant tumors accompanied by ulcers and massive bleeding that cannot be stopped; or patients with severe infections; or patients with rapidly growing tumors that cause severe pain that is difficult to control with medication; or patients with pathological fractures in their limbs and loss of mobility. 2. Radiation therapy When radical surgery causes functional impairment, a combined treatment of surgery and radiation can be chosen. The disadvantage is that the postoperative wound is not easy to heal. 3. Chemotherapy However, most soft tissue sarcomas are insensitive to chemotherapy and can only be used as a clinical auxiliary treatment. From the above information, you can see that soft tissue tumor is a very difficult disease, and most soft tissue tumors are malignant tumors. Although this condition is very serious, once it occurs, the patient should still actively seek treatment. Sometimes a good mentality and an optimistic attitude are also a good medicine and have a good auxiliary effect on the treatment of the disease. |
