Men who look mature are more likely to be favored by women

There are many kinds of beauty among women, and men are no exception - the tall, fair, gentle type, the strong, cheerful and sunny type, the steady, reliable and mature type... A study published on the British "Women's Blog Network" gave the answer: men with a slightly vicissitudes of life are more likely to win the favor of women.

The investigation was carried out by experts from the Institute of Evolution in the UK. They selected 3,408 women as survey subjects and asked them to rate photos of men with different physical features and write down the male features that attracted them the most. The results showed that men who looked older than their actual age and had slightly wrinkled faces scored higher. Previously, a study by the University of St. Andrews in Scotland also showed that women prefer men with slightly square jaws, rough skin and slight wrinkles.

Researchers analyzed that men with haggard faces generally have more active secretion of male hormones and stronger fertility. At the same time, they have rich social experience and can give women a sense of security. However, the study also found that for women who already have a stable boyfriend or are married, men who look similar to their partners will get higher scores. This shows that once women have established a relatively stable relationship with their boyfriends, they will not be easily shaken by appearance factors.
