Eye fatigue is a common eye disease. The dry eyes, sore eyes, sore eyes, blurred vision and even decreased vision it causes directly affect people's work and life. Eye fatigue is mainly caused by the fact that when people concentrate on looking at the computer screen, they blink less often, resulting in a corresponding decrease in tear secretion. At the same time, the flashing screen strongly stimulates the eyes. It can cause pain in the neck, shoulders and other corresponding parts of the body, and can also trigger and aggravate various eye diseases.

Traditional Chinese medicine recommends that massaging your eyes frequently after using them for an hour or two can effectively protect your eyes.

1. Massage and knead the eye health points

Eye care acupoints are divided into proximal and distal acupoints. The acupoints around and near the eyes are called proximal acupoints; the acupoints on the body, limbs and other parts are called distal acupoints. The common and easy-to-find proximal points include Sibai, Chengqi, Zanzhu, Yuyao and Sizhu points. For example, there are three very useful eye-protecting acupoints on the eyebrows. The ancients believed that eyebrows were like fish. The Zanzhu point is located in the depression between the eyebrows; the Yuyao point is in the depression at the midpoint of the eyebrows; and the Sizhu point is at the end of the eyebrows.

2. Massage Taixi acupoint

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that several important meridians that have a great impact on the eyes, such as the kidney meridian and the liver meridian, are connected in the channel between the eyes and the feet. By taking care of your feet, you can stimulate the meridians in the body to better control the nourishment of the eyes. It is recommended to massage the Taixi point, which is located in the depression between the highest point of the medial malleolus and the Achilles tendon. Use your thumb to massage this acupoint up and down, not causing too much soreness or swelling, for 3 minutes. The second is Taichong point, which is located in the depression before the junction of the first and second metatarsal bones on the dorsum of the foot. Use your thumb to massage for 3 to 5 minutes, until you feel a moderately strong soreness.

3. Massage ear points

Regularly massaging the ear points is also very helpful in protecting eyesight. The method is to pinch the earlobe (where women wear earrings) with your thumb and index finger and gently rub it.
