Pulmonary nodules have clear borders

Pulmonary nodules with clear boundaries may be chronic inflammatory nodules. During the treatment and repair process, the patient may have inflammation wrapped by fibrous tissue, and the lesions may have residual connections. It is also possible that the lung nodule lesions may be on the patient's back according to the location of the nodules shown. Therefore, the patient should first undergo a chest CT examination to understand the shape, texture and nature of the nodules in more detail. Small lung nodules are not necessarily lung cancer. Small lung nodules can be divided into two categories: benign and malignant. Benign lung nodules include pulmonary hamartoma, bronchial adenoma, inflammatory lesions (also known as inflammatory pseudotumor), tuberculoma, etc. These benign lung nodules are harmless to the human body and rarely cause clinical symptoms.

Malignant pulmonary nodules include small lung cancers or early lung cancers, and lung metastases. Generally speaking, benign nodules and malignant nodules each account for a certain proportion of small lung nodules. If small lung nodules are found during a physical examination, there is no need to worry too much.
