5 Lifestyle Habits That Make You Tired

Staying energetic and in good condition requires more than just a good night's sleep, there are many small details involved. 1. I woke up in the morning and it was dark.

When you open your eyes and are greeted by bright, vibrant colors, they make you feel excited. This instant surge of energy can clear the clutter in your mind and get you excited.

Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, tells us that when you wake up in the morning, change your pillows, blankets, or artwork to red, orange, or fuchsia. You can also add these warm colors to your own robes.

You can even pour yourself a glass of antioxidant-rich pomegranate or sour plum juice and add a slice of sweet orange to stimulate your senses with the charming colors of breakfast (and get some healthy nutritional support from it).



2. Press the alarm

There is a saying that goes “If you don’t pay attention, you’ll miss it.” When you hit the alarm, your brain knows it will go off again in a few minutes, so it's impossible for you to fall asleep again and get a full rest. This also means that when you wake up, you will feel more tired than when you first hear the alarm.

Here's a better way: set your alarm for a time when you really need to get up, and remember that's the last moment you have to get up. Uninterrupted sleep will help you wake up feeling rested and refreshed.

4. Not drinking water before you feel thirsty

Drinking a large glass of water as soon as you wake up is a great way to replace the water your body loses throughout the night, and it will also provide you with the instant energy you need.

All chemical reactions in the human body require water. If we lack water, all aspects of our body's functions will be affected, which may cause inflammation.

In fact, a drop of just 2 percentage points in your body's water storage can make you feel physically and mentally tired.

So, start now and get a head start by drinking the 11 glasses of water that the Institute of Medicine recommends for women to keep yourself hydrated and glowing all day long.

5. Forgetting to open your curtains

A beam of sunlight can make you feel more awake, so grab your coffee cup, soak up the sun, read the newspaper, or go for a walk for a few minutes.

Daylight signals your biological clock to stop producing the sleepy hormone melatonin, awakening you from the inside out. It also increases levels of serotonin in the brain, a mood-boosting chemical.

If it's still dark when you wake up, you might consider a dawn stimulator, which is a device that can be programmed to gradually release light.

Set it so that it creates a dawn state half an hour before your usual wake-up time, until it becomes a large beam of light when your alarm goes off. Even if your eyes are still closed, the light reaching your eyelids will signal your biological clock and stimulate the neurons in your brain to wake up.
