Seven kinds of pain that require you to see a doctor immediately

There will be occasional pain, but it will pass if we just bear with it. Little do we know that these are the body’s alarm signals. Experts point out that if the pain occurs suddenly, lasts a long time, or is unusual, it is better to see a doctor as soon as possible. Pay special attention to the following 7 types.

1. Chest pain

Preventive cardiology experts say multiple studies have found that women have a wider range of heart disease symptoms than men. But there are three key symptoms of a heart attack: lingering chest pain, shortness of breath, and unusual pain in the upper body. If any of these symptoms occur, seek medical attention immediately.

2. Severe headache

Usually a migraine. But a sudden, severe headache without other migraine symptoms could signal a brain aneurysm, which can cause brain damage within minutes. Cardiologists say this situation is extremely dangerous and that emergency services should be called immediately.

3. Toothache

Dental experts say that damage to the enamel on the surface of the teeth can cause the dental nerves to be exposed, leading to tooth throbbing pain. Failure to repair the tooth in time can lead to oral bacteria further damaging the dental nerve.

4. Severe pain on one side of the body

Feeling severe pain on the right side, along with nausea and fever, could be appendicitis. For women, it may also be an ovarian cyst. Both situations require a visit to the emergency room, says a gastroenterologist at the Center for Neuroscience and Women's Health.

5. Abdominal bloating and pain

The worst-case scenario for abdominal bloating and pain is cancer. Ovarian symptoms include: abdominal bloating, pelvic or abdominal pain, etc.

6. Back pain with tingling in the toes

Orthopedic and sports science experts say this condition may be caused by the intervertebral disc compressing the nerves. If not treated promptly, it can easily cause permanent nerve damage.

7. Leg pain with edema

Leg pain with swelling may be a symptom of deep vein thrombosis (DVT). Cardiovascular disease experts say local massage and timely walking can help relieve pain. However, once a blood clot flows through the blood to the heart and lungs, it can cause dangers such as hypoxia. Therefore, be sure to check frequently.
