Seven taboos in the morning

Seven taboos in the morning

Avoid urinating immediately after waking up

If you drink too much water at night, or have symptoms of frequent or urgent urination, you will often wake up in the early morning. If you get up in a hurry to go to the toilet, you will often feel dizzy. The professor pointed out that during sleep, the human body's metabolic level decreases, the heart rate slows down, blood pressure drops, and all physiological functions operate slowly. If you suddenly go to the toilet at this time, your bladder will empty quickly, which can easily induce hypotension, cause temporary insufficient blood supply to the brain, and lead to urinary syncope.

In the cold winter, early morning is the "devil's time" for sudden myocardial infarction and stroke. Middle-aged and elderly people go to the toilet immediately after waking up, which can easily induce cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Therefore, even if you have to pee urgently, do not get up and run to the toilet immediately. Instead, get up slowly, sit on the edge of the bed for a few minutes, and then slowly walk to the toilet.

Avoid getting up immediately after waking up

Many people wake up in the morning and get up in a hurry, but are "knocked down" by a feeling of dizziness. After waking up, it takes a process for the human body to change from an inhibited state to an excited state. If you get up immediately to dress and wash, your body has not adapted to the situation and blood flow is slow, so oxygen cannot be delivered to the brain in time. You are prone to dizziness, blurred vision and other discomforts. Middle-aged and elderly people are also prone to cardiovascular and cerebrovascular accidents.

It is recommended that you do not rush to get up after waking up. The elderly can lie on their backs in bed and do the following activities: first, rub your hands together to warm them, dry wash your face several times, and then massage your temples, back of the head, and neck in turn, and repeat 20 times; secondly, half-clench your fists, gently beat your waist and back 10 times, and then beat the outside of your calves on both sides; finally, use your heels to alternately push the soles of your feet, and then rub your feet against each other to make the soles of your feet feel warm.

Avoid working immediately after waking up

Some people have tight work schedules and start working hard right after waking up. However, the brain is not supplied with enough blood at this time, which not only leads to low work efficiency but also makes it easy to get fatigued. It is recommended that no matter how busy you are at work, it is best to lie in bed with your eyes open after waking up, think about your plans for the day, and let the "resting" muscles and blood slowly "wake up". Then stand up slowly and stretch. You can also do a small stretching exercise in bed to relax the muscles of your whole body: straighten your left leg, bend your right leg, open your arms horizontally, and twist your upper body rhythmically 20 times; then lie on your back, curl up your body, hug your knees, stay still for a while, and then slowly roll up and down 20 times.

Avoid strenuous exercise after waking up

If you have enough time, moderate exercise in the morning has many health benefits. But some people start doing strenuous exercise as soon as they get up in the morning, such as sit-ups, jogging, square dancing, etc. Others jog all the way to work in time and are exhausted and out of breath. Experts warn that strenuous exercise in the morning will stimulate excessive excitement of the sympathetic nerves and disrupt the autonomic nervous rhythm, making people nervous and anxious all day long. Middle-aged and elderly people are also prone to cardiovascular and cerebrovascular emergencies such as myocardial infarction.

It is recommended that office workers should prepare the clothes they will wear and the things they will take with them the next day the night before to avoid packing in a hurry. Try to be as leisurely as possible on the road. It is recommended not to walk fast or jog. When exercising in the morning, you might as well do some "health-preserving exercises". The specific method is: lie flat and relax your body, cross your five fingers, place your palms facing up on top of your head, straighten and hook your toes alternately, and turn your body left and right at the same time; then use the base of your palms to rub your chest and ribs from top to bottom; then, use your palms to massage the acupoints around your navel 50 times clockwise; finally, use your hands to half-clench your fists and gently pat the outside of your lower limbs until you feel the warmth on the skin outside of your lower limbs. If you want to get up and exercise, it is recommended to do gentle and slow exercises, such as walking, Tai Chi and Ba Duan Jin.

Avoid eating immediately after waking up

After a night's sleep, the stomach is still in a "half-asleep, half-awake" state in the early morning, and it takes ten minutes to half an hour to wake up. Moreover, the amount of saliva and gastric juice secreted in the morning is relatively small. If you eat immediately, especially some difficult-to-digest food (such as meat, etc.), it is easy to cause indigestion. Experts suggest that it is best to drink a glass of water after getting up in the morning and then eat after a while. This glass of water can not only replenish the water lost during sleep and increase the secretion of digestive juices, but also promote blood circulation and prevent cardiovascular accidents.

It should be noted that this glass of water should preferably be boiled water at room temperature. You can drink warm boiled water in winter. Juice, coffee, milk, carbonated drinks, light salt water, etc. are not suitable. Also, please note that you should not drink too much water in the morning. Drinking it sip by sip is more beneficial to your body.

6. Don’t fold the quilt immediately after waking up

Many parents teach their children from an early age to develop the "good habit" of folding their quilts immediately after getting up. But a study shows that not folding the quilt immediately after getting up is good for your physical and mental health. The researcher pointed out that even in a very tidy bedroom, there are at least 15 million mites in the bedding on each bed. Because dust mites in the room are not easy to survive in a dry and moist environment, and the folded quilts can easily retain the temperature and sweat of the human body, thus creating living conditions for dust mites.

In addition, people emit a large amount of waste gas during a night's sleep, including 149 chemical substances such as carbon dioxide and about 150 substances evaporated from sweat. These substances will be adsorbed on the quilt. If you fold the quilt immediately after getting up, these substances are not easy to dissipate, resulting in the accumulation of harmful substances and the reproduction of microorganisms. Not only will the properties of the quilt fibers be changed, but they will also be absorbed again by the human body at night, thus endangering health. Therefore, do not fold the quilt or make the bed immediately after getting up. Instead, turn the quilt over so that the inside of the quilt faces outwards. At the same time, open the doors and windows for ventilation, and then fold the quilt after you finish washing up.

Seventh taboo: stay in bed after waking up

Many office workers are accustomed to lying in bed during holidays. But most people who prefer to stay in bed have this feeling: after lying down for too long, they feel their limbs become heavy, their spirits become listless, and they feel dizzy. They may not be as energetic as if they had gotten up early on weekdays. Experts point out that lying in bed for a long time will damage the Qi, and sleeping in is not conducive to the release of the Yang Qi in the human body, which will lead to poor Qi movement and easy to cause stagnation. Some people get up and wash up in a hurry only after the alarm rings several times. This will cause the sympathetic nerves to be over-excited and the autonomic nerves to be disordered, which can easily make people irritable.

A study suggests that early risers are healthier and happier than late risers. Therefore, you should develop the good habit of not staying in bed at all times. Go to bed early on weekdays and try to get up a little earlier to leave time for drinking a glass of water and eating breakfast. Don't lie in bed during holidays. Go to the morning market, buy some fresh fruits and vegetables, come back and make breakfast to reward yourself. It's best to do aerobic exercise outdoors, which is much more enjoyable than lying in bed.
