White spots on goldfish

The water temperature fluctuates and the Ichthyophthirius multiplies. The water temperature of 15-23℃ is most suitable for the reproduction of Ichthyophthirius.

Treatment for white spot disease: No matter what medicine is used, the water temperature must be raised to 30 degrees first. We can take advantage of the fact that Ichthyophthirius scoparia is not resistant to high temperatures and cause the spores produced on the surface of the fish to mature quickly, accelerate their growth rate, and cause them to fall off the surface of the fish. Treatment drugs: 1. You can also soak it in 3% salt water for several days; 2. Or use 2 parts per million (2ppm) methyl blue solution, soak for 6 hours a day; 3. The treatment effect is better when mixed with 0.05 ppm malachite green and 25 ppm formaldehyde solution; 4. Or soak in 2 parts per million (2ppm) quinine hydrochloride solution at 28-30℃ for 3-5 days; 5. Or soak in 2ppm mercuric nitrate solution for 30 minutes; 6. Or soak in a red mercury solution with a concentration of 50 to 70 parts per million (50-70 ppm) for 5 to 15 minutes, twice a day. After the white spots disappear, continue to use the medicine for a period of time to kill the Ichthyophthirius that has not attached to the fish body.

We need to take good care of our pets and provide them with a comfortable living environment. We usually treat them as our close friends, but the density of fish at home should not be too high, and the water quality should be good and the dissolved oxygen should be sufficient. Keep the water temperature at 15-20 degrees Celsius. If necessary, change their water frequently.
