What causes cracked heels

What causes cracked heels

In life, due to climate changes or diet and other reasons, our skin often undergoes different changes. For example, when we get a sore throat after eating, or when our body is lacking in water, our skin will become very dry, and sometimes even crack and bleed in severe cases. Sometimes the symptoms are more than that, and sometimes corresponding symptoms will appear in the feet, such as cracked heels.

When we encounter cracked heels, we often become irritable and restless, because cracked heels will affect our normal activities, and in severe cases we cannot walk at all. So, what exactly causes cracked heels?

Medical research shows that the following are the causes of cracked heels:

1. Fungal infection. Sweating on the soles of the feet or wearing closed and non-breathable shoes, or not changing socks or washing feet for several days, and being accustomed to going barefoot at home can easily lead to fungal infections; in this case, daily care is the key.

2. Metabolism is too fast. If there is no trauma or medication, the most likely cause is vitamin deficiency and excessive activity.

3. Caused by climate change. When the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter change, it is easy to cause peeling and cracking of the skin.

So, when we accidentally suffer from cracked heels, we can try the following methods to recover:

1. Soak your feet in white vinegar. There are many benefits of soaking your feet in white vinegar, such as whitening, enhancing skin elasticity, promoting sleep, and preventing skin cracking. The method of use is very simple: pour hot water at about 40 degrees into a foot basin (a wooden basin is best), and then pour in white vinegar. The ratio of hot water to white vinegar is about 10:1. Just sit on a chair or sofa and soak for about 20-30 minutes. Remember to persist every day. Over time, the skin on your feet will become smoother and your sleep quality will improve.

2. Apply ointment or moisturizing oil. In addition to washing your feet with white vinegar, you can also use daily fungus-curing ointments or moisturizing oils. It will help treat peeling and cracked soles of feet.

3. Improve your diet and eat more fruits. Peeling of the soles of the feet also indicates a lack of vitamins in the body, which means you need to improve your daily eating habits and eat more fruits and vegetables. And take vitamin tablets to ensure adequate nutrition in the body.

4. Maintain good personal hygiene. I won't go into much detail about this, as everyone knows that you should wear breathable socks and shoes, and wash your socks and feet frequently.

In short, no matter what the reason is, when our heels become cracked, we should not take it lightly, but take corresponding correct measures immediately. It is best not to walk on the ground first. After going to the hospital to check the cause, we should follow the doctor's instructions for treatment. During treatment, try not to wear shoes or socks, and make other plans after your condition improves. Everything should be done with the goal of curing cracked heels as quickly as possible.
