Classification of primary bronchogenic carcinoma

1. Primary bronchogenic carcinoma can be divided into small cell lung cancer and non-small cell lung cancer.

2. Primary bronchial lung cancer is one of the malignant tumors originating from the bronchial mucosa or glands of the lungs. The incidence and mortality rates are growing rapidly, posing a huge threat to human health and life. The clinical manifestations of primary bronchial lung cancer are relatively complex. The presence of symptoms and signs depends on the location of the tumor, pathological type, metastasis and complications, as well as differences in the degree of patient response and tolerance. Small cell lung cancer has special biological characteristics and is listed as a separate category. Usually, small cell lung cancer is not treated surgically, but mainly with radiotherapy and chemotherapy. There are many treatments for non-small cell lung cancer, including radiotherapy and chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy and anti-angiogenic therapy.

3. Primary bronchogenic lung cancer requires appropriate treatment according to the pathological type and clinical stage. Early-stage primary bronchogenic lung cancer can be treated with surgery, while mid- to late-stage primary bronchogenic lung cancer is recommended to receive radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
