What are the early symptoms of cervical cancer

The early symptoms of cervical cancer include abnormal menstruation, abnormal vaginal discharge, vaginal bleeding, contact pain, frequent urination, urgency, and pain when urinating. If there are other abnormal symptoms, you should seek medical treatment in time for symptomatic treatment.

1. Menstrual abnormalities: irregular menstrual cycle, increased menstrual flow, prolonged menstrual period. Cervical lesions may affect the normal contraction of the uterus and the shedding of the endometrium, leading to changes in menstruation.

2. Abnormal vaginal discharge: Increased vaginal discharge may be white, bloody or thin like water, with a fishy smell. The growth and necrosis of tumor tissue will stimulate the hypersecretion of cervical glands, and when combined with infection, it will produce secretions with a foul smell.

3. Vaginal bleeding: A small amount of vaginal bleeding occurs after sexual intercourse, after gynecological examination or after menopause. In the early stage of cervical cancer, the tumor tissue is relatively fragile and easily ruptured and bleeding due to external stimulation. Friction during sexual intercourse and contact with instruments during examination may cause bleeding. After menopause, due to the decrease in hormone levels and the thinning of the vaginal mucosa, bleeding caused by tumors is easier to detect.

4. Contact pain: pain during sexual intercourse, or dull pain in the lower abdomen and lumbosacral region after sexual intercourse. Lesions in the cervix invade surrounding tissues, and stimulation during sexual intercourse can cause pain. Pain in the lower abdomen and lumbosacral region may be caused by cancer lesions invading the paracervical tissues, which is caused by nerve conduction.

5. Frequent urination, urgency, and pain during urination: increased frequency of urination, urgency, and pain during urination. When cervical cancer invades the bladder triangle or surrounding tissues, it will affect the normal function of the bladder and cause urinary system symptoms.

These symptoms are not unique to cervical cancer, and other gynecological diseases may also present similar symptoms. If the above symptoms occur, especially if they persist or recur, you should seek medical attention in a timely manner and undergo a detailed gynecological examination to confirm the diagnosis and early treatment.
