What foods can prevent lung cancer? Three types of food can prevent lung cancer

What foods can prevent lung cancer? The lungs are the most important organ in the respiratory system. If there is a problem with the lungs, it will seriously affect everyone's life and health, especially lung cancer. If you want to prevent this disease, you can pay attention to your diet. So, what foods can prevent the occurrence of lung cancer?

A survey once showed that if people consume less vitamin A and carotene (which can be converted into vitamin A in the human body) every day, the incidence of lung cancer will be significantly higher after 10 years.

Researchers believe that vitamin A can maintain the integrity of the cell nucleus, ensure normal metabolism of epithelial tissue, accelerate the repair of cell nucleus DNA, block the process of cell carcinogenesis, and inhibit the occurrence of cancer. Long-term vitamin A deficiency can cause squamous metaplasia of the respiratory epithelium, which, if further developed, can easily lead to lung cancer.

Eating more yellow-green fruits and vegetables can prevent lung cancer:

1. Vitamin A: Vitamin A is mainly found in animal tissues. Egg yolks, milk, cream, cod liver oil, animal liver, etc. contain more vitamin A. However, these foods are high in cholesterol and calories, so you should pay attention to the intake and not eat too much.

2. Carotene: Tomatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, pumpkins, tangerines, oranges, mangoes, apricots, amaranth, spinach, leeks, rapeseed, shepherd's purse, chrysanthemum, green peppers and other yellow and green vegetables and fruits are rich in carotene. You can eat more of them. This is not only beneficial for preventing lung cancer, but also has a certain preventive effect on chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, and coronary heart disease.

3. Trace element selenium: Studies have shown that trace element selenium can improve the body's immunity. Insufficient selenium intake will also increase the risk of lung cancer. Shrimp, crab, lean meat, eggs, mushrooms, sesame and other foods have high selenium content and can be consumed appropriately, but animal foods should not be consumed too much, otherwise it is not conducive to cardiovascular and cerebrovascular health.
