Exercising for two hours a day can increase the survival rate of cancer patients by 56%

A foreign study shows that if aerobic exercise is performed for 2 hours a day, the survival rate of cancer patients will increase from 32% to 88%. In addition, exercise can promote appetite, improve sleep, enhance physical fitness, and improve people's mood. It is a good sedative and placebo. What exactly is aerobic exercise? Aerobic exercise refers to physical exercise performed by the human body under the condition of sufficient oxygen supply. In other words, during exercise, the oxygen inhaled by the human body is equal to the demand, achieving a physiological balance.

Simply put, it refers to any rhythmic exercise that lasts for a long time (about 15 minutes or more) and has a moderate or high intensity.

The standard for determining whether it is "aerobic exercise" is heart rate. Exercise with a heart rate of 150 beats per minute is considered aerobic exercise because the blood can supply enough oxygen to the myocardium at this time.

Therefore, it is characterized by low intensity, rhythm, and long duration. Each exercise should be no less than 1 hour, and should be performed 3 to 5 times a week. This kind of exercise can fully ferment the sugar in the body with oxygen, consume body fat, enhance and improve cardiopulmonary function, prevent osteoporosis, and regulate psychological and mental state. It is a rehabilitation exercise for lung cancer patients.

What types of aerobic exercise are there?

1. Guo Lin Qigong

Guolin Qigong is a breathing exercise and a mind-body exercise. Long-term practice can not only help people improve their physical fitness and immunity, but also control cancer to a certain extent through aerobic respiration.

More importantly, if Guo Lin Qigong is practiced well, it can easily stabilize the practitioner's emotions.

2. Take a walk

There are many benefits of walking. First of all, it can increase lung capacity and reduce the desire of smokers to smoke. For the back, it can strengthen the back muscles and cause less damage to the back. At the same time, for the legs and feet, walking is equivalent to strength training for the bones, which can significantly enhance the strength of the bones and muscles of the legs and feet.

Things to note when taking a walk:

When taking a walk, the choice of shoes and socks is very important. Generally, walking time is long, and tight shoes and socks will lead to poor blood circulation in the feet, so choose comfortable sports shoes and socks; walking is an aerobic exercise, so it is not advisable to wear clothes that are too cool; there are toilets on the walking route, so you need to urinate in time, and holding urine for a long time may lead to accidents; try to choose places with good air quality for walking.

3. Jogging

Studies have shown that brisk jogging can enhance respiratory function, increase lung capacity, and improve the body's ventilation and gas exchange capabilities. The oxygen supplied during jogging can be 8 to 12 times more than when sitting still.

Jogging is suitable for patients with good physical condition and early-stage lung cancer. Older patients or patients with weaker physical fitness can use walking instead.
