Tongue cancer is a type of oral cancer that is more prone to deterioration. It often occurs at the edge of the tongue, as well as at the tip, back, and root of the tongue. When tongue cancer occurs, it affects the tongue muscles, which can affect speaking, eating, and swallowing. Because the tongue contains a large number of lymphatic vessels, as well as frequent blood circulation and tongue movement, the metastasis of tongue cancer occurs relatively early, and the chance of metastasis is also high. Below, we briefly introduce the symptoms of tongue cancer recurrence. For some patients, the first symptom after tongue cancer relapses is tongue pain. In severe cases, pain may also occur in the ears and face. For invasive tongue cancer, since there are no ulcers or protrusions on the surface of the tongue, the lesions cannot be discovered early, affecting timely treatment. The main manifestations after recurrence are the reappearance of erosions, ulcers, protrusions or granular flesh masses in the mouth. After conventional treatment, they are not only unable to be controlled, but become more and more serious. Unexplained bleeding in the mouth occurs many times, and it is difficult to open the mouth. Increased saliva in the mouth, lumps appear on the face, and the lymph nodes become swollen. If they do not disappear for a long time, they become more serious. Suddenly, the tongue cannot move normally, speech is unclear, and eating is affected. The above are some symptoms after tongue cancer relapses. For the treatment of tongue cancer, the more common treatments are surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and traditional Chinese medicine. Surgery is the most important method at present. Radiotherapy is generally used as an auxiliary method for surgery. Chemotherapy is mainly for patients with early tongue cancer. Western medicine treatment will have side effects, affecting the patient's immune system, reducing the patient's resistance, making tongue cancer easy to metastasize and recur. Therefore, while undergoing Western medicine treatment, immunotherapy can be used with traditional Chinese medicine to achieve the best treatment effect. The occurrence of tongue cancer is often closely related to our living habits. Therefore, we should pay attention to reasonable nutrition in daily life, diversify our food as much as possible, eat more high-protein, multi-vitamin, low-animal fat, easily digestible food and fresh fruits and vegetables, do not eat stale, spoiled or irritating foods, eat less smoked, grilled, pickled, fried, and overly salty foods, and match coarse and fine grains with staple foods to ensure nutritional balance. |
