What are the symptoms and signs of thyroid cancer

What are the symptoms and signs of thyroid cancer? Thyroid cancer is still very common in life, but not many people really understand this disease, let alone prevent it. So in order to let everyone have a more comprehensive understanding of this disease and to detect it in time when it occurs, we will introduce the symptoms and signs of thyroid cancer to you below.

Clinically, thyroid cancer is sometimes difficult to distinguish from thyroid adenoma or nodular goiter, and treatment is difficult, so it needs to be taken seriously. In addition, there may be malignant tumors or metastatic cancers of the lymphatic system, as well as rare primary squamous cell carcinoma of the thyroid, thyroid sarcoma, and malignant teratoma. Among thyroid cancers, papillary carcinoma is more common in clinical practice.

Usually, differentiated thyroid cancer is more common in women, with a male-to-female ratio of about 1:3, and the incidence of differentiated thyroid cancer increases with age, with a common age of 30-60 years old. The main symptoms are: differentiated thyroid cancer develops slowly, and patients may find a gradually enlarging painless mass in the neck, which is discovered by themselves or accidentally during a physical examination, or discovered during B-ultrasound and other examinations. In the late stage of the disease, varying degrees of hoarseness, dysphonia, dysphagia, and dyspnea may occur. Physical examination shows that the tumor is mostly hard, with a smooth surface and clear borders. If the tumor is confined to the thyroid gland, it may move up and down with swallowing; if it has invaded the trachea or adjacent tissues, it is relatively fixed. Radionuclide scanning is a "cold nodule."

Thyroid cancer patients have a common psychological fear of cancer, worrying about their family, their condition, disability, and adding burden to their family. Some patients have a fear, and medical staff, family members, relatives and friends should promptly understand the patient's mental state, patiently persuade the patient not to worry about the condition, family, and whether they will become disabled, and tell the patient the role of radiotherapy in the process and possible reactions, so that the patient can eliminate tension and fear and cooperate closely with the treatment.

In normal times, we need to pay attention to our own health care matters and effectively treat this disease. In order to avoid causing more impacts, we need to pay attention to avoid causing huge harm and effectively regulate the body to avoid causing more troubles. I hope that the patients will recover as soon as possible.
