In the late stage of bile duct cancer, when the tumor ruptures, bile duct bleeding may occur, black stools, positive fecal occult blood test, and even anemia may occur; liver metastasis may cause liver enlargement, cirrhosis and other symptoms. Jaundice may occur and be accompanied by skin itching; about half of the patients have symptoms such as right upper abdominal pain, distension or discomfort, weight loss, and loss of appetite.

Along with symptoms such as jaundice and abdominal pain, there may also be nausea, vomiting, weight loss, dark yellow urine like soy sauce or strong tea, light yellow or even clay-colored stools, etc.

Dietary considerations for bile duct cancer:

1. Try to reduce the intake of fat, especially animal fat, do not eat fatty meat or fried food, and replace animal oil with vegetable oil as much as possible.

2. A considerable part of the formation of cholecystitis and cholelithiasis is related to excessive cholesterol levels and metabolic disorders in the body. Therefore, you should limit the intake of foods with high cholesterol content, such as fish roe, egg yolks of various eggs, and liver, kidney, heart, and brain of various carnivorous animals.

3. It is best to cook food by steaming, boiling, stewing and braising. Avoid eating large amounts of stir-fried, deep-fried, roasted, grilled, smoked and pickled food.

4. Increase the intake of foods rich in high-quality protein and carbohydrates, such as fish, lean meat, soy products, fresh vegetables and fruits, to ensure the supply of calories, thereby promoting the formation of glycogen and protecting the liver.
