What are the symptoms of recurrence of bile duct cancer after surgery

In the 21st century, with the rapid development of medicine, new breakthroughs have been found in the treatment of many diseases. However, there is a disease that people often talk about with fear, and that is cancer. Cancer is indeed a terrible disease that often recurs. Biliary duct cancer is also a type of cancer and sometimes recurs. So what are the symptoms of recurrence of bile duct cancer after surgery?

Cholangiocarcinoma is a malignant tumor. Its incidence has been increasing year by year in recent years, threatening people's health and life. Surgical resection is currently the most important treatment method, but surgery cannot achieve radical resection, so symptoms of recurrence will occur after surgery. What are the symptoms of recurrence of cholangiocarcinoma after surgery?

1. Most people develop jaundice. When jaundice occurs, the sclera, palms, oral mucosa and skin turn yellow. This is because the cancer blocks the bile duct, and the bile discharged from the liver is retained in the liver and then refluxes into the blood.

2. Obstructive jaundice is often accompanied by fever and chills. Fever is caused by bacterial infection in the stagnant bile, and it is difficult to subside before the jaundice subsides. As obstructive jaundice persists, bacteria may enter the blood and cause sepsis, and sometimes even shock.

3. Urine becomes dark brown and stool becomes grayish white. Normally, stool is yellowish brown due to the effect of pigment in bile. When bile duct cancer occurs, bile cannot flow into the duodenum, so the stool becomes grayish white.

4. Dull pain in the pit of the stomach and right upper abdomen. In addition to jaundice, the accompanying symptoms of papillary cancer may develop slowly and disappear temporarily.

The treatment of cancer is a systematic, long and complex process. Some patients want to be cured once and for all through surgery, chemotherapy and other methods. However, they do not know that treating cancer is like fighting a tough battle. It is not a matter of one day or one night and requires cooperation from many aspects.
