The difference between uterine fibroids and teratomas

Speaking of teratoma, I believe you will definitely show an expression that you have never heard of it. After all, this is a disease that is not very common in life. Experts say that teratoma deteriorates quickly, and we should go to the hospital for treatment as soon as we find it. So, what is the difference between uterine fibroids and teratoma?

Teratoma is a germ cell tumor of the ovary. It is a tumor derived from the primordial germ cells of the ovary. Mature teratoma is a benign tumor, while immature teratoma is a malignant tumor. Uterine fibroids are benign tumors of the uterus, which are caused by the proliferation of smooth muscle cells of the uterine wall. According to their location, they can be divided into three types: intramural fibroids, subserosal fibroids, and submucosal fibroids.

Ovarian cysts are a general term for all ovarian tumors, and there are many classifications based on histology. Ovarian cysts can also be benign or malignant, including teratomas. Regardless of which of the three types of tumors, timely diagnosis and treatment are required.
Teratomas originate from potentially multifunctional primitive embryonic cells and are mostly benign, but the tendency to be malignant increases with age. Some teratomas can become malignant. Teratomas composed of undifferentiated mature tissues are malignant and grow in an invasive manner. Uterine fibroids, also known as uterine leiomyoma, are the most common benign tumors of the female genitalia. The occurrence of uterine fibroids is related to endocrine disorders caused by long-term excessive estrogen levels. A large number of clinical comparative experiments have shown that ginsenosides, a rare saponin extracted from ginseng, can induce uterine cancer cells to differentiate into normal cells, which is beneficial to controlling the development of benign uterine tumor cells. When inducing apoptosis of uterine tumor cells, ginsenosides can also regulate and enhance the body's immune function, open the systemic protective barrier, and are most easily absorbed when the content reaches 16%.
