What is the etiology and pathogenesis of lung cancer

So far, the cause of lung cancer has not been fully understood. However, according to the onset and clinical manifestations of patients, it can be known that the occurrence of this disease is closely related to the rise and fall of the righteous qi and the invasion of evil toxins.

1. Deficiency of positive energy "When positive energy is inside, evil cannot enter", "Where evil gathers, the energy must be weak". Deficiency of positive energy and imbalance of yin and yang in the internal organs are the main basis for lung cancer. As the book "Accumulation, a Must-Read in the Medical Ancestral Book" says: "Accumulation is caused by insufficient positive energy, and then evil energy takes over". 2. Internal invasion of tobacco poison Gu Songyuan of the Qing Dynasty believed that "tobacco is the leader of pungent and hot things." Long-term smoking burns body fluids and consumes internal yin fluid, leading to insufficient lung yin. Over time, it leads to qi and yin deficiency. In addition, the internal accumulation of tobacco poison detains the lung orifices, blocks the airway, and causes phlegm, dampness, and blood stasis to coagulate and form tumors.

3. Evil toxins invade the lungs. In short, lung cancer is caused by deficiency of vital energy, imbalance of yin and yang, evil toxins taking advantage of the deficiency of lungs, evil toxins stagnating in the lungs, leading to lung dysfunction, depression of lung qi, dysfunction of descending, unfavorable qi mechanism, stasis of blood, loss of body fluid distribution, body fluid accumulation into phlegm, phlegm condensation and qi stagnation, blood stasis blocking the collaterals, and then blood stasis and toxins coagulate, forming lung masses over time. Therefore, lung cancer is caused by deficiency and excess due to deficiency, and is a disease that is deficiency in the whole body and excess in the local area. The deficiency of lung cancer is mostly yin deficiency and qi and yin deficiency, and the actual condition is nothing more than the pathological changes of qi stagnation, blood stasis, phlegm coagulation, and toxin aggregation. Its location is in the lungs, but because the liver is responsible for dredging, the spleen is responsible for transporting and transforming water and dampness, and the kidney is responsible for the evaporation of water, it is closely related to the liver, spleen, and kidney.
