Hematuria is the main symptom of bladder cancer

Urinary tract cancer mainly forms in three places: the kidneys, bladder, and prostate in men, all of which are in or around the urine duct, so the symptoms of cancer will appear in the urine.

The first thing that appears in the urine is hematuria. Hematuria is the main symptom of bladder cancer, and the hematuria is visible to the naked eye throughout the entire urination process, that is, the urine is blood red throughout the urination process, or it starts with blood in the urine and then becomes clear, or it starts with clear and then turns into blood in the urine.

Bladder cancer hematuria has two major characteristics:

(1) Painless hematuria: Most of the painless hematuria in the elderly is caused by tumors of the urinary system, among which bladder tumors are the most common, followed by kidney tumors and tumors in the ureter and urethra. Therefore, if painless hematuria occurs, you should go to the hospital for examination immediately.

(2) Intermittent hematuria: Hematuria may occur from time to time, with an interval of several days, months or even months. This can easily give people the illusion that hematuria has been cured, thus missing the opportunity for diagnosis and treatment. However, although hematuria has stopped, it is only the temporary coagulation and hemostasis of the cancerous bleeding points, but the lesion continues to develop. Therefore, if there is blood in the urine, which occurs from time to time, you should be especially vigilant and not take it lightly.
