How to remove rust stains?

Ironware is widely used in life. Most daily necessities are made of iron. Although it greatly facilitates people's lives, the rust of ironware is a problem that is difficult to solve. After ironware rusts, a large amount of rust stains will be produced, which will cause certain pollution to people's clothes. Therefore, removing rust is a little common sense that should be mastered in life. Let's take a look at how to remove rust stains.

1. Sprinkle 15% acetic acid solution (or 15% tartaric acid solution) on the stain, or soak the rusty part in the solution for about a day, and then rinse with clean water. You can also soak the rusty area with 10% citric acid solution, then soak it in concentrated salt water, rub it and rinse it clean the next day. Use vinegar to clean it, because the main component of rust is ferric oxide, which is more active than iron. Using vinegar to clean it can not only remove rust, but also will not damage the container itself. Remember to wipe it dry after cleaning, as vinegar will corrode the container after too long.

2. If there is rust on white cotton fabric, you can use a small spoon to scoop a handful of oxalic acid on the stain, then sprinkle some warm water, rub it gently, and then rinse it with clean water. Pay special attention to operating quickly to avoid oxalic acid corroding clothes. This method cannot be used multiple times.

3. According to the degree of rust contamination on clothes, take out several vitamin C tablets, grind them into powder, and sprinkle them on the rusted areas of wet clothes. After they are fully soaked, rub them vigorously several times to remove the rust stains.

4. If there is not much rust on clothes, you can use clothing rust remover to remove it. Spray the remover evenly on the stained area, leave it on the clothes for 3-5 minutes, rub it repeatedly, and then rinse it with clean water several times until the stain is removed. Note that the amount of rust remover should be determined according to the amount of dirt. Too much or too little is not good.

5. The easiest way to wash off rust: use several fresh lemons, squeeze out the lemon juice and sprinkle it on the rust stains. After the lemon juice soaks into the clothes, rub them with your hands. Repeat several times until the rust stains are removed, then wash with soapy water, and finally rinse with clean water.
