How to get rid of ants in the room

Spring flowers, your beautiful sunshine is lying on the carpet on the balcony, and you find a few ants crawling beside you, and your mood disappears. Your first reaction is to deal with them quickly. Using pesticides is the fastest way to eliminate them. How to get rid of ants in the house? However, pesticides are harmful to children and pets. The pungent smell of many pesticides cannot be dispersed for a long time. It is recommended to use the following method to remove it.

Fortunately, there are many ways to kill ants without using pesticides. I will tell you these methods so that you can kill or repel ants and prevent them from entering your home.

Method 1

Use Natural Pesticides

Soapy water is a natural insecticide that not only kills ants, but also most insects. You can also use it against cockroaches.

You can also make your own soapy water using dishwashing liquid and water. Pour dishwashing liquid and water into the bottle in a ratio of 1:2 and shake them well. As soon as you see ants (either one or a group), spray them with the solution. The ant will instantly freeze and suffocate to death. Wipe away the dead ants with a damp cloth, saving the solution in the spray bottle for next use.

Use white vinegar and water.

Ants really hate vinegar, so you can make a cheap and easy insecticide using just vinegar and water. Pour equal parts vinegar and water into a spray bottle and shake well. Spray it directly on the ants to kill them. Then wipe it clean with a wet wipe and throw it in the trash.

Vinegar and water can also repel ants. Spray around windowsills, doorways, and other areas where ants are present.

Make your own lemon juice spray.

Can't stand the smell of vinegar? Use lemon juice instead. Ants hate the citric acid in lemon juice, so you can also spray it around your house to keep ants away. The ratio of lemon juice to water is 1:3.

Method 2

Make a trap using boric acid and sugar.

Boric acid is a good natural insecticide and is found in many insecticides. Ants love sugar.

These ingredients are easy to find, don’t cost a lot of money, and most importantly, are very effective. All you need are a few sheets of cardboard (one for each trap), a bottle of corn syrup or other sticky, sugary food, and boric acid powder. Here’s how to do it:

Combine 2 tablespoons corn syrup and 2 tablespoons boric acid in a small bowl and mix well. Mix into a sticky but not watery paste. If it's too thin, add more boric acid. Use a spoon to spread the paste onto the cardboard sheets, with each sheet of cardboard being 1 trap.

Place the trap in areas where ants often hang out.

These boric acid-containing syrups will soon be crawling with ants. The ants don't die right away, but the poison takes effect quickly in their stomachs. During this time, the ants returned to the nest and brought some food to their companions, causing them to eat the poison as well. Keep replacing the syrup as it dries until all the ants are gone.

Method 3

Destroy ant nests

If you want to eliminate ants at the source, you have to find the ant nest.

Once you have discovered the ant nest, you will need to destroy it by preparing a pot of boiling water. While it is still hot, pour the water over the ant nest.

Check for ants after a few days. If there are still ants, pour hot water again.

Method 4

Repelling Ants Naturally

Set up a line of defense that ants cannot cross. There are several natural substances that ants hate and avoid. Simply use one of these substances to create a line of defense along windowsills, around the perimeter of your house, and in areas where ants are present to keep them out.
