What is the exact location and direction of the lung meridian?

As we all know, there are very complex meridians distributed in the human body, including the lung meridian, which is also called the hand Taiyin lung meridian. This is a very important meridian in the human body. In traditional Chinese medicine, this meridian can treat many diseases. For example, some people inexplicably experience symptoms such as chest tightness and shortness of breath. At this time, stimulating the lung meridian can help treat the disease. The following is a detailed introduction to the location and direction of the human lung meridian.

The exact location and direction of the lung meridian:

The lung meridian starts at the middle of the abdomen, connects to the large intestine, goes up along the stomach and airway, goes out from the armpit, and then extends along the hand and buttocks to the tiger's mouth. Generally, the position on the arm is tapped.

The hand Taiyin lung meridian starts from the middle burner (the position of the stomach above the navel), goes down to the large intestine, and also follows the stomach opening (the lower opening is the pylorus, the upper opening is the cardia), passes through the diaphragm, belongs to the lung, and runs horizontally from the lung system (the trachea, bronchi and throat connected to the lungs) to the Zhongfu point on the upper outside of the chest, then goes out from the armpit, goes down along the inner front edge of the upper limb, passes the elbow fossa, enters the Cunkou point, goes up to the thenar eminence, and goes straight to the Shaoshang point on the radial end of the thumb.

Branches: From Lieque point at the back of the wrist, it runs along the back of the palm to Shangyang point on the radial end of the index finger, and connects with the hand yangming large intestine meridian.

The Lung Meridian starts from the epigastric area of the middle burner, goes down to connect with the large intestine, goes back along the upper opening of the stomach, penetrates the diaphragm, enters the lungs, runs horizontally from the lung system (trachea, throat) to the upper outside of the chest wall (Zhongfu), goes to the armpit, along the front and outer side of the upper arm, runs on the outside of the Hand Shaoyin Heart Meridian and the Hand Jueyin Pericardium Meridian, goes down to the middle of the elbow (Chize), then goes down along the radial side of the forearm to Cunkou (the pulsation point of the radial artery), and along the outer edge of the thenar eminence to the radial end of the thumb (Shaoshang). Its branch branches out from the upper part of the radial styloid process at the back of the wrist (Lieque), passes through the base of the hand to the radial end of the index finger (Shangyang). The pulse qi connects with the hand yangming large intestine meridian from here.

Cave Name Song

The eleven points of the hand Taiyin lung are listed as Zhongfu, Yunmen and Tianfu.

Next is Xiabai, then Chize, then Kongzui and Lieque.

From Jingqu Taiyuan to Yujie, it reaches Shaoshang and is like a leek leaf.

The A version of the Silk Book Meridians records that the disease of this meridian is "heart pain, irritability and belching"; the B version describes "heart pain", and also records "pain in the supraclavicular pelvis, even (if) the two hands are crossed and shaken, this is arm collapse (jue)", and also records "this arm Juyin meridian (pulse) is responsible for the diseases it produces: chest pain, epigastric pain, heart pain, pain in the four extremities, and abdominal masses, which are five diseases". The two books do not have anything to do with the lungs.

The symptoms of the disease are recorded in the "Lingshu Jingmai" as follows: lung distension, chest fullness, cough, wheezing, shortness of breath, pain in the supraclavicular fossa (supraclavicular fossa), pain and coldness in the radial side of the shoulder, back and upper limb palms, hot palms, restlessness, frequent urination, and changes in urine color.
