How to eat postpartum meal

The third stage (recovery period): half a month after delivery, the mother has basically recovered and can start proper nourishment. This stage is a good time to induce lactation, and you must add more soups. After the baby is half a month old, the stomach capacity has increased a lot, and the new mother's milk production rhythm begins to be increasingly in line with the baby's needs. Eating more lactation-inducing soups can ensure adequate supply, such as papaya crucian carp soup, soybean pig's trotter soup, pork rib soup, chicken soup, etc.

Precautions for postpartum diet

1. Eat small and frequent meals: The enlarged uterus during pregnancy puts pressure on other organs, and the gastrointestinal function after delivery has not yet returned to normal, so you should eat small and frequent meals, five to six times a day.

2. A combination of meat and vegetables, rich in nutrition: From a nutritional point of view, different foods contain different types and quantities of nutrients, and the human body's nutrition is multi-faceted. Being too picky about food will lead to a lack of certain nutrients. Most people recommend eating a lot of chicken, fish, and eggs during the confinement period, while neglecting the intake of other foods. Therefore, the combination of meat and vegetables is rich in nutrition.

3. Light and suitable, easy to digest: The diet during confinement should be light and suitable. Whether it is soup or other food, try to make it light and proceed step by step. Avoid eating too much meat and fish and taking supplements blindly. It is better to use less salt, but not none or too little. Adding a small amount of warm seasonings such as onion, ginger, garlic, and pepper powder to food will help blood circulation and eliminate blood stasis from the body.
