Is lipstick powder poisonous

Modern women may not wear makeup, but they cannot do without lipstick, because lipstick can determine a person's complexion, and a lipstick of the right color can enhance a person's temperament. Lipstick powder is the main raw material for making lipstick. It is mainly made of wax, oil and colorant. Many people say that applying too much lipstick can cause cancer, and the main cause of cancer is lipstick powder. So does lipstick powder really contain toxins?

1. Now all regular products sold in large shopping malls (except counterfeit and shoddy products) have passed the national quality inspection and hygiene inspection. The heavy metal content is completely lower than the national regulations, and the standard pigments are also safe pigments allowed for use in national regulations. You can use it with confidence. Theoretically, it's okay to eat the thing you put on your lips, but who would eat that stuff for no reason? It has no nutrition and no taste. When it comes to toxicity, lipstick has very low or even no toxicity. The source of the toxicity is the lead and mercury contained in the pigment. How much would one have to consume to cause poisoning?

2. Wax: The role of wax in lipstick is to keep it in a certain shape. The main waxes used are wood wax, deodorized beeswax, ozokerite, microcrystalline wax, candelilla wax, and carnauba wax. If you use wax exclusively, your lips will feel terrible, so you also need to add oil to them.

3. Oil: Plant-based oils such as jojoba oil, palm oil, soybean oil; animal-based oils such as deep-sea turtle liver oil, lanolin, etc. Natural oils are comfortable to use, but they are very unstable and need to be used in combination with mineral oils, such as Vaseline and liquid paraffin extracted from petroleum.

4. Pigment: Pigment determines the appearance and color of lipstick. When round-shaped lipsticks first came out, they mainly used carmine and natural red extracted from safflower, and the colors were very monotonous. Later, organic chemistry developed rapidly and people began to produce colorful lipsticks such as yellow, brown, orange and even cyan, gray and green. Pigment alone is not enough, as the lipstick will be eaten and stick to the cup. Therefore, in order to ensure that the color of lipstick can last on the lips for a long time, you need the help of dyes, which can directly dye your lips.

5. Look at these ingredients, they are basically non-toxic.
