Skin itches after sweating

Skin itches after sweating

Sweating is a detoxification process for people. You must sweat when you should, which is good for your health. Many people also realize this, so they will insist on running in the summer mornings to exercise. They feel refreshed after sweating, but some people are unwilling to sweat because their skin becomes severely itchy after sweating, which is very distressing. Why does sweating cause itchy skin? How to alleviate it?

1. Allergies cause itchy skin

Allergies can cause itchy skin. Due to low immunity of the body, toxins in the blood cannot be discharged in time and accumulate under the skin. They are then released on the body surface by external stimuli such as heat and sweating, causing itchy skin. In this case, the cure can be achieved by improving the body's immunity and detoxifying the body.

2. Contact dermatitis

Allergies are still very common in summer. Some contact dermatitis will worsen or relapse in the summer. This may be because sweat easily dissolves allergens from the contact objects and sticks tightly to the moist skin, resulting in an allergic inflammatory reaction, and itching is the first symptom.

3. Summer skin itching and summer eczema

The skin will become itchy in the summer. The itchy areas vary from person to person. The calves, thighs, torso and especially the waist are common areas. For men who often wear long trousers in summer, the thighs, calves, and groins are prone to summer dermatosis. The temperature is high, and the trouser material is poorly ventilated and does not absorb sweat, especially thick jeans. Therefore, the temperature inside the trouser legs is higher, and after sweating, it becomes even more humid and hot. The skin cannot expel sweat and dissipate heat, so the temperature is bound to rise.

The hot and humid summer is most suitable for the growth and reproduction of fungi, especially since most clothes have poor ventilation and are not easy to absorb sweat. As a result, ringworm will reappear in places that sweat easily, such as the trunk, armpits, groin and buttocks. Therefore, tinea versicolor, tinea cruris and tinea pedis caused by fungal infections are the main causes of itchy skin in summer.

Pityriasis versicolor is a group of small round spots centered on the pores. They are whitish in color and similar spots will merge into some large spots. When they first appear, they are light pink, turn brown over time, and finally turn white. They are slightly itchy but not painful. Most pityriasis versicolor grow on the trunk, that is, the back, shoulders, waist, etc., and are distributed very widely.

Some people feel that their groin, buttocks and feet, especially between the toes and the soles of the feet, are wet and itchy in the summer. Brown patches may appear in the groin and buttocks, becoming darker over time. Blisters and peeling may occur on the toes and soles of the feet.

Therefore, keeping clothes ventilated and breathable and keeping skin cool and dry are the basis for reducing skin itching in summer. In addition, you can also apply external drugs to treat fungi. The main ingredient of liquid drugs is alcohol solution that inhibits fungi. The former is mostly used for pityriasis versicolor. Apply it once a day after bathing for about one or two weeks. When there are many cases of tinea cruris and tinea pedis, use some antifungal ointments or creams, once in the morning and once in the evening, until the skin returns to normal, and then continue to use it for one or two weeks.

4. Caused by skin bacteria growth

The human skin is also one of the organs that excretes body waste. In the hot summer, sweating becomes almost everyone's daily norm. After a long period of accumulation, sweat and skin waste become a large garbage bin, a paradise for the breeding of bacteria, which in turn causes itchy skin. In this case, keep your body clean at all times. You can use Lanshutang anti-itch soap to deeply remove the breeding bacteria and effectively suppress skin itching.

5. Cholestatic urticaria

Cholestatic urticaria is a type of what people commonly call urticaria. When exposed to heat, mental stress, consuming hot food or drinks, or after exercise, the body temperature increases slightly. The increased blood flow stimulates the brain's temperature regulation center, excites the cholesteric nerves and releases acetylcholine. It is because the body is allergic to the chemical acetylcholine that we call the symptoms caused by the allergy cholesteric urticaria.

Symptoms of cholestatic urticaria include:

① No rash will appear, but there will be obvious tingling and severe itching sensation.

② It often occurs in adolescence, usually after exposure to heat (hot drinks, hot baths), emotional excitement and exercise. The symptoms will subside after you stop exercising or calm down. In severe cases, it may take months or even years for the symptoms to completely subside.

③ Red wheals of about 2 mm in size often appear on the skin of the trunk and proximal limbs (except axillae, palms and soles). These wheals come and go quickly without leaving any trace. Severe cases may be accompanied by gastrointestinal symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, etc. It often occurs in adolescence, after exposure to heat (hot drinks, hot baths), emotional excitement, and exercise. The rash is characterized by small wheals of 1-3 mm in size surrounded by red halos, mostly on the trunk and proximal limbs, and is pruritus. Some patients also have gastrointestinal symptoms, such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, etc. Oral cetirizine, loratadine, or ketotifen
