Removing Coca Cola Stains

Removing Coca Cola Stains

Coke is a common carbonated beverage in our daily life. It has a relatively high sugar content. If you shake it before opening it, it will spray out the moment you unscrew the cap, and it will be difficult to clean if it gets on your clothes. If conventional methods don't work well, some special methods for removing cola stains can work very well. So, what are the methods to remove cola stains? Let’s take a look at these methods below.

Laundry detergent cleaning

Cola contains a lot of pigments and sugars. If it gets on clothes, you need to wash it with laundry detergent as soon as possible. Apply laundry detergent directly to the cola stain, leave it for about 5 minutes, then pour a little water on it, and rub the stain repeatedly to remove the pigments and sugar without leaving any traces.

Disinfectant cleaning

We all know that disinfectant has a certain bleaching effect. Therefore, if white clothes are stained with cola, you can soak the clothes in disinfectant. Generally, the stains will disappear after soaking for a few minutes. Then use clean water to wash away the odor of the disinfectant leaves.

Salt stain removal

Salt also has a certain bleaching effect. When cola stains clothes, you can soak them in salt water, rub them repeatedly after soaking for a few minutes, then rinse them with clean water and dry them in the sun to remove the substance.

Vinegar cleaning

Vinegar has a certain effect in removing pigment stains. Therefore, when cola stains clothes, you can wash them with vinegar as soon as possible to remove all the pigments in the cola. Then use warm water to wash away the remaining sugar stains of cola on the clothes and dry them.

Glycerol cleaning

If the cola stain has dried into the fibers, you can apply some glycerin to the back of the stain, let it sit for 30 minutes, wash off the glycerin with cold water, apply dishwashing liquid to the back of the stain, and gently rub the stain from the back. Then use water to rinse the detergent off the clothes.

Coke cannot be washed with water

The pigments and sugars contained in cola can stain clothes. When clothes are stained by cola, washing with clean water can remove the pigments and make the clothes look clean at the time, but the sugars on the clothes are not completely removed. The sugars will discolor the clothes under the sunlight, and the clothes will appear dark yellow, which is difficult to remove. It is recommended to wash with warm water.
