How to eliminate slugs?

Slugs are generally not seen in the north, but are very common in the south. Although they are not poisonous insects, their large-scale presence, especially crawling into houses and onto clothes, has a great impact on people's lives. So, what method can be used to completely eliminate slugs? Here are some tips to get rid of slugs.

How to get rid of slugs

1. Sprinkle ginger powder in places where slugs are present. Slugs are very sensitive to the smell of ginger and will stay away. When slugs harm your beloved plants, wrapping a circle of thin copper wire around the roots of your plants will have the same effect (slugs do not like the weak electromagnetic field emitted by copper wire).

2. There is a disgusting method that works very well. Put the caught slugs in a blender and add water to make a liquid. Add lime juice, or lemon juice, and use a spray bottle to spray the places where the slugs are infested. You won't see a single slug in a few months.

3. Place a basin full of beer in the place where slugs appear at night, and you will see slugs that are fat and drunk the next day.

4. Sprinkle salt on the slug: If you sprinkle salt on the slug, it will "melt" something like water and a layer of skin. The reason is that the water content in its body is very high, which causes the salinity in the body to be very low, and the water transfers from low concentration to high concentration. Therefore, it becomes smaller and smaller, giving people the illusion that it has turned into water.

5. Sprinkle aluminum sulfate on areas where slugs are present. Aluminum sulfate is also effective against other mollusks.

6. Two other methods of killing slugs are to spray the ground with concentrated salt water to drive away adult insects, and to use rice bran or soybean cake with 2% calcium arsenate or aluminum arsenate to make poison bait to kill them. To disinfect outdoor drains, sewers and other places, 6% of Methazepam can be used. Try using lime. It is impossible to completely eliminate it. This kind of insect also has a seasonality. It is best to avoid its invasion during this season.

Measures: 1. Check which direction it comes from; 2. Set up anti-intrusion ditches in the direction of the source; 3. The ditch can be built into a small earth ditch or a pre-buried split PVC pipe, and both ends of the pipe are closed with PVC pipe joints; 4. Regardless of whether it is an earth ditch or a PVC pipe ditch, the front edge of the ditch is slightly lower and the rear edge is slightly higher. Inject an appropriate amount of salt water or lime water into it so that the insects can fall into the ditch and cannot climb out. Hope that helps.
