How is lipstick made?

Women often wear lipstick when they go out. It can be said that lipstick is an indispensable cosmetic for contemporary women. Here we remind all women to buy qualified quality lipstick and choose lipstick color that matches their skin color. In addition, the method of applying lipstick must be correct. If lipstick is used incorrectly, it will not only affect the appearance, but also the health of the body. Nowadays, many people like to make their own lipstick, so how is lipstick made?

First, the accurate formula and method of making lipstick

disinfect

Wipe and disinfect lipstick molds, beakers, lipstick tubes and other utensils with alcohol, then dry them and set aside. A thin layer of olive oil can be applied to the inside of the lipstick mold to facilitate demolding.

Material ratio

5g beeswax, 15ml olive oil (other oils can also be used), two vitamin E capsules, 1g color powder, and 2 drops of your favorite essential oil. This is the general ratio. If you want it to be more moisturized, you can increase the proportion of oil appropriately or add a small amount of honey.

Stirring

The key to lipstick making lies in this step. Add the measured olive oil and color powder into the beaker, and stir clockwise and counterclockwise with a stirring brush until the color powder is completely dissolved in the olive oil. This process takes at least twenty minutes.

heating

After the color powder and olive oil are completely blended, add beeswax into the beaker, then heat the beaker over water or use an alcohol lamp, stirring while heating until the beeswax is completely dissolved, and finally add vitamin E and essential oils.

Filling

Prepare a lipstick mold or lipstick tube, quickly pour the melted lipstick into the mold, let it cool naturally for twenty minutes or place it in the refrigerator for about ten minutes to wait for the lipstick to cool.

Demolding

Be careful during the demolding process, first pull the mold slightly to let air into it, and then slowly remove the mold, and a perfect lipstick is ready!

Second, handmade lipstick

The first and most important step is disinfection. Use an ozone disinfection cabinet. If you don’t have one, use alcohol to disinfect directly. Make sure the alcohol evaporates completely.

Prepare the beaker and glass rod you will need. A very important tool for making lipstick is the mask brush, also called a grinding brush, which is used to make the lipstick powder dissolve well in the oil. Then use grease and beeswax!

Then mix it, making sure to grind it thoroughly so that the powder is fully dissolved, and then add the lipids and beeswax.

This step requires heating, heating in a water bath to fully melt the lipids and beeswax. If you want fragrance, you can add some flower wax, or a little essential oil. The essential oil should be added later.

For this step, if you have a mold, you can put it into the mold. If not, just use an ordinary lipstick tube and pour it directly. Use a mold and wait for a few minutes to solidify.

If you don't have a mold, just use a regular tube.

This is the last step, demolding, and the finished product is out. Before the fifth step above, wait for the oil to cool down a bit before adding vitamin E or something like that. The same goes for essential oils, and the finished product will be out after demolding.

Third, matters needing attention

The color can be deepened gradually. Pay attention to the area and don't apply too much or too heavily at one time.

Pay attention to what colors should be used for what occasions.
