What are the effects and functions of astaxanthin

Astaxanthin is a nutrient that can be obtained through daily food intake. It is the same as ordinary proteins, amino acids and other nutrients. They can bring many benefits to people's bodies. Astaxanthin is a member of the carotenoid family. Qinjiao Huang helps prevent oxidation of vitamin A, vitamin E and other carotenoids. Qinjiao yellow has the strongest antioxidant effect among all carotenoids, 10 times stronger than β-carotene and 100 times stronger than vitamin E.

Nutritionists have confirmed that astaxanthin can cross the barrier from the blood to the brain, so astaxanthin can protect the brain, central nervous system and eyes. Astaxanthin has other benefits: improving physical endurance and reducing the risk of muscle damage; relieving symptoms of eye fatigue and improving visual acuity; reducing wrinkles through internal supplementation; relieving symptoms of excessive pigmentation (commonly known as age spots); regulating cytokines and inhibiting the genetic expression of inflammatory cytokines and chemical factors; improving gastric health and relieving infection or inflammation caused by Helicobacter pylori.

Astaxanthin can be produced through two methods: artificial synthesis and biological acquisition. Artificially synthesized astaxanthin is not only expensive, but also has significant differences from natural astaxanthin in terms of structure, function, application and safety.
