Tongue ulcer is a type of oral ulcer. It is a common mucosal ulcer that can occur in people of all ages. A characteristic of oral ulcer is that it can heal itself and is prone to recurrence. It can occur in various parts of the mouth, but lip, tongue, and gum ulcers are the most common. After an ulcer occurs, if it is not treated in time, the ulcer area will increase and in severe cases it will be accompanied by fever. How to cure tongue ulcer through diet therapy? Oral ulcers are localized ulcers of the oral mucosa that are characterized by periodic recurrence. They can heal on their own and can occur in any part of the oral mucosa, most commonly on the lips, cheeks, and tongue. In severe cases, they can spread to the pharyngeal mucosa. As the course of the disease progresses, many patients experience an increase in the area and number of ulcers, aggravation of pain, a prolonged healing period, and a shortened interval, which affects eating and speaking. Although there are many treatments for oral ulcers, they are basically symptomatic treatments, the main purpose of which is to relieve pain or reduce the number of recurrences, but they cannot completely control recurrences, so prevention of this disease is particularly important.
