What should I do if I am allergic to mangoes

Allergy to mangoes is a problem that many people will encounter in life, so it is important to understand the causes of mango allergies and how to deal with them. Generally, if you are allergic to mangoes, you should first pay attention to using some anti-allergic ointments in a timely manner.

1. Causes of mango allergy

1. Mangoes contain fruit acids, amino acids, various proteins and other substances that irritate the skin. In addition, unripe mangoes also contain aldehyde acid, which can irritate the skin and mucous membranes and cause allergies.

2 Most people who are allergic to mangoes have allergic constitutions and generally have low immunity. For example, some children are prone to allergic dermatitis after eating mangoes. This is mainly because children eat fruit in a "face-washing" manner, that is, when eating fruit, it is easy for the juice to get on their faces and bodies. In addition, children have thinner skin and poorer resistance, so their chances of suffering from fruit rash are much higher than adults.

3 Because mangoes grow in poor conditions and are sprayed with pesticides, the harmful chemicals in the pesticides may also cause mango allergies.

2. Solutions for mango allergy

① Many people rush to the hospital or pharmacy to buy some anti-allergic ointments and tablets to relieve the symptoms when they are allergic to mangoes. However, the allergic symptoms will occur again the next time they eat mangoes. Repeated use of anti-allergic drugs will bring many side effects, and severe ones may lead to dependent dermatitis. So it is not recommended.

② When eating, cut the mango into small pieces, or use a blender to make it into paste and eat it with a straw. In short, try to minimize the contact between mango and skin. Wash your hands immediately after peeling the mango.

③After the allergic symptoms appeared, I used pearl powder for dry compress and found the effect was good. Although it was not an immediate effect, it had the effect of relieving itching and astringing. Also, my allergy tends to be more like eczema, so ointments and liquid medicines don't seem to be suitable.
