Treatment of hindbrain tumor

The treatment of posterior brain tumors is an issue that all patients need to pay attention to. 1. Basic treatment principles

2. Surgery

(3) Resection method: Surgical resection of benign intracranial tumors is almost the only effective treatment method. Malignant tumors should also be resected intensively. However, due to their invasive nature or their location in important functional areas and other areas that are difficult to reach during surgery, they can only be resected subtotally, partially, or biopsied.

3. Radiation therapy

(1) A comprehensive radiotherapy plan must be completed by a multidisciplinary collaboration including neurosurgery, neuroimaging, radiation oncology, and radiation physics.
