How to diagnose early nasopharyngeal cancer and how to prevent it

If you are ready for everything, you won't be in a hurry to get to the end, or be upset, so be prepared for everything, no matter what it is. How to diagnose nasopharyngeal cancer in its early stages? How to prevent it?

Nasopharyngeal carcinoma is a malignant tumor that occurs in the nasopharyngeal mucosa. Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Hunan and other places in China are high-incidence areas, and there are more males than females. Most of them are middle-aged, and there are also adolescent patients. The causes and racial susceptibility are more common in yellow people than in white people, genetic factors and Epstein-Barr virus infection, etc.

In the early stage of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, there is no manifestation because the tumor is small, located on the mucosal surface or accompanied by moist mucosa, and the tumor does not involve the opening of the Eustachian tube. The most constrictive manifestation of early nasopharyngeal carcinoma is bloody nasal discharge, followed by hearing loss, tinnitus, and ear obstruction. There is a characteristic of nasopharyngeal carcinoma before diagnosis, that is, the manifestation mainly occurs on one side.

Common early symptoms of nasopharyngeal carcinoma include:

1. Side nasal congestion and bloody nose;

2. Unilateral hearing loss or tinnitus;

3. Unilateral headache;

4. Unilateral painless lump in the upper neck.

There are three methods for early diagnosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma: nasopharyngeal indirect endoscopy, electronic endoscopy and Epstein-Barr virus-related examination.

Even if the current technology is advanced, we should also do a good job of prevention. The body is their own, and health is the most important foundation. To prevent nasopharyngeal cancer, do the following:

1. Try to avoid seriously polluted external air environments. Because the nasopharynx is the only way for external air to enter the lungs, harmful gases first invade the nasopharynx before entering the lungs.

2. Quit smoking and drinking.

3. Pay attention to your diet structure, do not be picky eaters, eat more vegetables, fruits and other foods that contain a lot of vitamins. Eat less or no salted fish, pickled meat, etc.

I hope the above information can help you!
