How to diagnose lung cancer to avoid worsening. Detailed method of correctly diagnosing lung cancer

For lung cancer, when people have some physical discomfort symptoms, they can use the following examinations to better detect and diagnose the disease: sputum cytology examination, which generally has a diagnosis rate of more than 80%; X-ray examination, which has different diagnostic imaging for different types of lung cancer; bronchoscopy, which can be used directly to observe tumors and perform biopsy examinations, etc.

Lung cancer is a common disease in people's lives. For this disease, people must conduct lung cancer examinations in time to clearly diagnose the disease after they are sick, so as to provide a basis for more accurate treatment of the disease in the later stage. This will enable everyone to better cope with the disease. So how can the diagnosis of lung cancer be more accurate? Let's learn about it together.

After people develop lung cancer, the diagnosis methods are as follows:

Sputum cytology:

By examining the patient's sputum and looking for detached cancer cells, the probability of diagnosing the disease can reach more than 80%. This examination generally requires multiple examinations over several consecutive days.

X-ray examination:

For patients with central lung cancer, there are no obvious X-ray signs in the early stages of the disease. Generally, after the disease develops to the late stage, there will be block shadows or atelectasis. For patients with peripheral lung cancer, the main symptom is the appearance of isolated round or oval block shadows of varying sizes around the lung field.

Bronchoscopy:

This method is mainly used to diagnose central lung cancer. It can directly observe the tumor and take biopsies from it.

Mediastinoscopy:

The diagnosis rate of central lung cancer is relatively high. This examination can directly observe the lymph nodes under the anterior tracheal carina and perform biopsy at the same time.

Through chest wall puncture or tissue examination:

The success rate of this examination is relatively high, but complications such as bleeding, infection, and the spread of cancer cells along the needle track are more likely to occur during this examination.

The appearance of lung cancer will greatly damage people's normal breathing ability, which will in turn induce a series of complications, causing great harm to the patient's normal life, and it is also easy to endanger the patient's life safety. Therefore, for lung cancer, when you find the disease, you should pay attention to respond as soon as possible and try to get rid of the disease in a short time.
