Bladder cancer is often accompanied by symptoms such as urinary urgency, frequent urination, and painful urination. If not treated in time, it may be life-threatening. Surgery is the main way to treat bladder cancer. So, can bladder cancer surgery be cured?

At the current level of medical treatment, there is no way to completely cure bladder cancer. However, actively choosing surgical removal of the lesion in the early stage of the disease can achieve the goal of clinical cure and effectively prolong the survival period. Generally, the 5-year survival rate can reach more than 91%. If bladder cancer develops to the late stage, even if surgical treatment can be chosen, the recurrence rate is very high, and the 5-year survival rate is only about 10%.
