Can I eat sugarcane after drinking alcohol?

Many people drink some wine during festivals, and drinking in moderation is good for people's health. However, there are some taboos after drinking. There are many foods that cannot be consumed with alcohol, otherwise it will cause some harm to your body. However, fruits such as sugarcane can be eaten, which has no effect. People with weak spleen and stomach cannot eat it.

Sugarcane tastes sweet and astringent, is neutral in nature and non-toxic.

It is mainly used to harmonize the middle qi, help the spleen, benefit the large intestine, eliminate phlegm and quench thirst, eliminate heart and chest heat, and detoxify alcohol; it can also treat vomiting and nausea, and relax the chest. Eating sugarcane and wine together will produce phlegm; eating too much will cause false heat and nose bleeding. Burn the ashes and grind into powder. Apply it frequently on children's head sores and white baldness to cure them. Be careful not to let the smoke from burning enter people's eyes, otherwise it may cause vision loss.

To treat nausea: use seven liters of sugarcane juice and one liter of ginger juice, mix them well, and swallow them slowly every day.

To treat oral ulcers in children: burn and grind sugarcane peel, and rub it on the affected area.

Sugarcane is a good food therapy product that can clear, moisten, and nourish. It has been widely praised by people throughout the ages. Even those noble and elegant literati have a special liking for it. Wang Wei, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, wrote in his "Cherry Poem": "Don't worry about internal heat when eating, as officials still have sugarcane juice to keep you cool." The great medical scientist Li Shizhen had a different opinion on sugarcane. He said: "Drinking sugarcane and banyan juice is good, but it is not as delicious as chewing it", which perfectly expresses the subtlety of eating sugarcane. [5]
