What are the symptoms of osteosarcoma

Many people don’t know what osteosarcoma is. Even if osteosarcoma really breaks out one day, they don’t know the cause. In fact, pain is one of the most obvious symptoms of osteosarcoma. Therefore, as long as everyone has a certain understanding of the symptoms of osteosarcoma, they will be able to discover the disease in time and check and treat it in time. Now, let’s learn about the symptoms of osteosarcoma with me.

Osteosarcoma is the most common primary malignant bone tumor. When the disease occurs, the bones will have varying degrees of pain, lumps, difficulty walking and lameness, accompanied by fever and other systemic symptoms. Timely treatment is necessary to avoid endangering life and health. Osteosarcoma often occurs in the limbs and develops rapidly. It is highly malignant. 80% to 90% of patients have micro-metastases that cannot be found clinically when they are diagnosed, and about 90% of patients have lung metastases.

1. There is often irregular dull pain and discomfort in the limbs, which initially manifests as intermittent pain, soreness, and dull pain around the joints, and is effectively treated with painkillers. As the condition worsens, the pain becomes severe and unbearable and lasts for a prolonged period of time. Ordinary painkillers are ineffective, and the pain radiates to other parts of the body.

2. Swelling and lumps gradually appear around the joints, accompanied by increased skin temperature, venous distension, etc.; the lumps continue to grow larger and the symptoms become increasingly severe.

3. Pain that is not related to exercise, especially at night, may be a sign of tumor growth; and when exercising, joint pain is further aggravated.

4. The condition progresses very rapidly and even shows signs of worsening the next day.

5. In addition to bone and joint pain, systemic reactions such as increased body temperature, anorexia, weight loss and pale complexion also gradually appear.

I believe that through the above introduction, everyone knows what the symptoms of osteosarcoma are. If you experience pain in your body and it lasts for a long time, it is best to go to a regular hospital for examination. Even if you do not have osteosarcoma, it can give you peace of mind.
