First, let's understand what mandibular cancer is. Mandibular cancer is derived from the epithelial remnants, cysts and ameloblastomas that are fused from the odontogenic epithelium and the facial process. In the early clinical stage, there will be: it is common in the mandible, especially in the mandibular molar area. A substantial mass will appear at the site of the disease, which grows rapidly. There is no ping-pong sensation during palpation. There may be tenderness, toothache, and local pain. Invasion of the inferior alveolar nerve may cause numbness of the lower lip. Invasion of the alveolar process may cause loose teeth, tooth loss, and protrusion of the tumor from the alveolar fossa. When invading the adjacent masticatory muscles, limited mouth opening may occur. Regional lymph node metastasis may occur

Surgery is the main method for treating jaw cancer. Selective neck lymph node dissection is generally performed. To prevent recurrence and distant metastasis, radiotherapy or chemotherapy can be combined after surgery. There are also serious complications that can metastasize to the submandibular and deep upper cervical lymph nodes, and can also metastasize to the lungs through the blood, with a very poor prognosis. Therefore, early detection and early treatment are the best treatment methods.
