Are there any sequelae after skin cancer surgery?

We have all heard about skin cancer. The causes of this disease are very complicated. Once such a disease occurs, it is not easy to recover. In addition, the incidence of the disease is gradually increasing. Therefore, we need to pay attention to the prevention of skin cancer. So, are there any sequelae after skin cancer surgery?

Actinic keratosis

It is generally considered to be a precancerous lesion, with the main manifestations of redness, roughness, tingling or burning sensations on the skin, usually on exposed skin: the top of the head, face, upper limbs and back of the hands where hair is lost. If not treated, it can transform into squamous cell carcinoma.

Squamous cell carcinoma

The most common skin cancer after kidney transplantation is related to the amount of sun exposure. The main manifestations are red, scaly bumps on the head, neck, and back of the hands, and the lesions are difficult to heal. The incidence of this disease in kidney transplant patients is about 65 times that of the general population.

Basal cell carcinoma

Skin cancer is the second most common cancer after kidney transplantation. It manifests as small pink bumps or macules on the skin that can repeatedly break out, bleed, and then form a crust. The incidence of this disease in kidney transplant patients is about 10 times that of the general population.

Melanoma

The most aggressive skin cancer. It mainly manifests as brown, red, or black spots on the skin. The incidence of this disease in kidney transplant patients is about 3 to 4 times that of the general population.
