Is it suitable to get pregnant if there is a cancer patient in the family

Is it suitable to get pregnant if there is a cancer patient at home? If the patient just has cancer, it is not contagious. If he has hepatitis B and turns into liver cancer, it is contagious. Although you have antibodies, you still need to be more careful about your diet and daily contact. It is best to isolate yourself. After all, this is related to the safety of the baby in your belly.

Causes of cancer

All cell behaviors are controlled by DNA, and the occurrence of cancer cells is due to changes in the DNA in these cells. Abnormal DNA can be inherited or caused by errors in the cell division process. In addition, carcinogens or carcinogenic factors such as smoking and ultraviolet rays can increase the chance of abnormal DNA changes.

What is a tumor?

The mass formed by the aggregation of overproliferating cells is called a tumor. Benign tumor cells will not invade other tissues or metastasize, so they are usually not destructive and will not endanger life. Malignant tumors are masses formed by the aggregation of cancer cells, which can invade surrounding tissues like tree roots and metastasize to distant places. In pathology, malignant tumors arising from epithelial tissues are called cancers, while malignant tumors arising from non-epithelial tissues are called sarcomas. They are usually not distinguished and are collectively referred to as cancer. There are also a few cancer cells that rarely form tumors, mainly malignant tumors of the blood and hematopoietic organs such as leukemia.

How do cancer cells spread?

In addition to infiltrating surrounding tissues, cancer cells can also invade the body's blood or lymphatic vessels and circulate through the blood and lymph to other parts of the body to form new tumors. This process is called metastasis, the former is local metastasis, and the latter is called distant metastasis or systemic metastasis.

What are infection and infectious diseases?

Infection refers to the transmission of some disease pathogens through direct contact between individuals or through an intermediate medium. Diseases that can cause transmission are called infectious diseases. Current infectious diseases are all caused by infection with pathogenic microorganisms without exception.

Is cancer contagious?

The American Cancer Society has made a very clear and specific answer: Cancer is not contagious. There are two reasons for this.

First, as can be seen from the above-mentioned cancer occurrence and behavior, for the medical industry, cancer is not contagious at all.

Second, there is currently no evidence that a healthy person can get cancer from another person through close contact or intermediate media such as sex, kissing, touching, eating together, or breathing the air in a common space.

Additionally, cancer cells from one person usually cannot live in another healthy person because, as foreign cells, they would be recognized and destroyed by a healthy person's immune system.
