There is a little white spot on my eyelid, what's going on?

The skin around the eyes is actually very fragile, and clinically the symptoms of many diseases occur around the eyes. Many people have encountered the situation of a small white spot growing on their eyelids, which may be related to many factors. In addition to being caused by disease, it may also be caused by external stimuli. You must be clear about the nature of the white spots before treatment. What’s going on with that little white spot on my eyelid?

1. Fat particles

If you have a small white spot on your eyelid, you may consider it as fat particles. You can try to apply vitamin E oil evenly on the area with fat particles after washing your face every night. It is best to let an ENT doctor use a sterilized needle to help you pick them out one by one and pull out the small particles inside.

2. Stye

A small white spot grew inside my eyelid and I suspected it was a symptom of stye. Stye refers to an acute suppurative inflammation caused by staphylococcal infection of the sebaceous glands around the meibomian glands or eyelash follicles. The main clinical manifestations are local redness, swelling, pain, nodules and yellow pus spots. Hot compress can be applied before pus is formed to promote suppuration. Mild inflammation can also disappear completely after hot compress. Systemic and local use of antibiotics can also promote the disappearance of inflammation. Antibiotics can be taken orally, injected intramuscularly or intravenously, and they are very effective against pyogenic bacteria.

3. Others

Generally, the small particles on the eyelids are most likely oil particles. The formation of oil particles is mainly because the skin care products you usually use are too nourishing. In addition, it is easy to produce oil particles when using general skin care products to wipe the eyes. It is recommended to use an eye cream that suits your personal skin type. Small particles may also be acne, which is generally caused by endocrine disorders in the body. Pay attention to a light diet, regular work and rest schedule, and a happy mood. It manifests as blotchy skin patches with small bumps that exude white material.
