How to treat elbow effusion

How to treat elbow effusion

Elbow joint effusion is one of the clinical manifestations of tennis elbow. The mucosa and soft tissue near the elbow joint are damaged, and the tissue fluid in the joint cannot be absorbed normally. The fluid accumulates in the joint, causing joint pain and limited joint movement. Elbow effusion may cause an inflammatory response. Once elbow effusion is diagnosed, it should be treated immediately to avoid delaying the condition. So how to treat elbow effusion?

A joint is actually a capsule that contains bone joints and tissue fluid. The tissue fluid lubricates the bone joints. When the amount of exercise is relatively small, the tissue fluid will become less, and then the bones will make noises when they rub against each other during exercise. So if you maintain a certain amount of exercise, this situation will be improved. Due to the limited volume of the joint cavity, excessive fluid accumulation will compress the nerves, causing joint pain and disorders. You need to go to the hospital to determine whether the joint is dislocated or damaged.

First: When the patient has elbow pain, we should pay attention to rest more and stop using elbows and wrists to exert force. At this time, you can use a hot water bottle or hot towel to heat the elbow joint, and you can also combine it with acupuncture, massage, etc., which should be able to relieve the pain.

Second: Patients should not give up on themselves and should relax. You can massage gently once or twice a day. It can relieve blood vessel and muscle spasms, relax tendons and activate blood circulation, and regulate tendons and restore tendons. However, you should be careful to use gentle movements during massage and not use force to avoid causing greater damage.

Third: If the above methods still cannot relieve the pain, the patient can use acupuncture, which is very helpful in treating elbow pain. Or you can use Chinese herbal medicine for external washing and application, and finally apply some analgesic ointment, which can also play a certain role.

Precautions

If the above methods still cannot solve the pain problem, the patient should go to the hospital. The doctor should take good care of the patient and give him help.
