In life, we always encounter some small unexpected situations. Sometimes when we wake up, we suddenly find that our teeth seem to be floating. When many people encounter this situation, they will be very strange and don’t know what is going on. The floating feeling of teeth is often caused by bacteria or some toxins invading the teeth. Usually when this happens, it is accompanied by tooth pain. Causes of floating teeth (1) Stomach fire burning teeth: Floating teeth, accompanied by red, swollen and painful gums, or exposed gums, bad breath, constipation, slippery and rapid pulse, red tongue, and yellow, white, greasy and dry tongue coating. (2) Yin deficiency causes dry teeth and floating teeth: The teeth are floating, dry and painful, and then the gums are exposed. Accompanied by low back pain, dizziness, tinnitus, hair loss, thin and rapid pulse, thin tongue, tender red tongue, and thin or little coating. (3) Floating teeth due to Qi deficiency: Floating teeth are accompanied by weakness in chewing, shortness of breath and laziness to speak, deep and weak pulse, and pale tongue with white coating. Symptoms of floating teeth 1. Differentiation from deep caries: They both have deeper caries cavities, but deep caries do not have the spontaneous severe pain of acute pulpitis. 2. Differentiation from gingivitis: Gingivitis may cause spontaneous severe pain, but the local gums are red, swollen, tender, and even pus discharge, and there is often a history of food impaction. This is not the case with pulpitis, which is sensitive to temperature, while gingival papillitis has no obvious response to temperature stimulation. 3. Differentiation from trigeminal neuralgia: Trigeminal neuralgia generally does not occur at night, and temperature changes do not cause pain. It also has "trigger points", and the pain interval will not be significantly prolonged or shortened as the disease progresses. The principle of treatment is to preserve the living pulp or the affected tooth. For emergency treatment, the pulp can be opened to reduce pressure. After rinsing with warm salt water, analgesics (such as camphor phenol, eugenol or small cotton balls such as toothache water) are placed in the caries cavity to temporarily relieve pain. At the same time, anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs are taken. After the pain is relieved for 1 to 2 days, the following can be selected depending on the specific situation of the affected tooth: 1. Pulpotomy; 2. Marrow flattening; 3. Pulp plastic surgery or root canal treatment. If the tooth has no value in preservation, it can be extracted to relieve the patient's pain and prevent the disease from spreading further. The main symptom of pulp disease is pain, especially acute pulpitis. In the process of pulp disease treatment, solving the pain problem is the first priority. The emergency treatment is pulp drainage, that is, using a sharp drill to quickly penetrate the pulp cavity under local anesthesia to allow inflammatory exudate to overflow from the pulp cavity. Then place a clove oil cotton ball at the puncture site to soothe and relieve pain. You can also take oral analgesics to relieve pain at the same time. Acupuncture for pain relief can also achieve good results. |
