Do you know why your waist hurts when you bend over?

It is very important for the human body. Whether you are working or resting, you will definitely use your waist for support. Many people injure their waists and suffer back pain due to being too tired. You should know that there are many reasons for back pain. Generally, elderly people will suffer from lumbar muscle strain due to incorrect posture, and will also experience back pain if they sleep for a long time. So what causes back pain at night? Let’s learn more about it.

1. If you feel pain in your lower back as well as leg pain or numbness when you bend over, it is usually a herniated disc. Because the waist is connected to the lower limbs and the trunk moves a lot, the waist will naturally be involved. Sitting or standing for a long time will require support from the waist, so naturally the back pain will worsen over time. If you get enough rest, the protruding lumbar disc can be repositioned and the pain can be relieved.

2. If the waist pain is accompanied by back pain, or even pain all over the body, this is generally osteoporosis. When osteoporosis is severe, the pain will be aggravated by turning, bending, coughing, or even exerting a little force. The most common symptom of osteoporosis is low back pain, which is often accompanied by pain throughout the body. Middle-aged and elderly people and those who smoke for a long time or use large amounts of hormones are more likely to suffer from osteoporosis.

3. Ankylosing spondylitis can also cause back pain, and the spine may feel stiff even when you wake up in the morning. In addition, if you have digestive system diseases, such as cholecystitis, gastritis, and duodenal ulcer, it can also cause lower back pain. These low back pains generally do not get worse with more activity, but they will not go away just because you get enough rest, and they will not last long.

To avoid back pain, it is best to maintain a correct sitting posture, sleep on your side, avoid driving for long periods of time, and it is best to maintain a suitable weight to prevent pressure on your waist. If you have already experienced lower back pain, you must promptly reduce the pressure on your lower back, avoid strenuous exercise, and seek medical attention if you feel unwell.
