What are the acupuncture points for defecation

What are the acupuncture points for defecation

Nowadays, people's pace of life is accelerating. Many people are busy with work and sometimes forget to eat and rest. This will lead to great mental stress over time and sometimes mental fatigue. An irregular lifestyle can cause many problems, such as constipation. So how do people take measures? The following are the acupoints for defecation.

Modern medicine believes that constipation refers to having a bowel movement once every three days or more; the stool is very hard, often accompanied by anal fissures or hemorrhoidal bleeding; or the stool is not hard but difficult to pass, and there is discomfort after defecation. In busy urban life, not being able to defecate in time or having uncomfortable defecation has become a common problem for office workers, but most of them do not think it is a disease, so not many people seek medical treatment. Some even think it is an unspeakable secret and are ashamed to seek medical treatment. Little do people know that the harm of constipation to the human body cannot be underestimated. Not to mention the pain of anal fissures and hemorrhoids, the reabsorption of toxins can also lead to dull complexion, brown spots, acne, obesity and other diseases. It is no exaggeration to say that it is an invisible killer of health. In addition, it is particularly important for middle-aged and elderly people to keep their bowels open, because many cardiovascular and cerebrovascular accidents are caused by hard defecation, especially in winter, which is the peak season for these diseases. It is even more important to maintain the habit of regular bowel movements every day. If you have constipation, you might as well try the following methods to clear your intestines and promote bowel movements.

Body acupuncture points - Juxu, Zhigou

(1) Point to Juxu

A. Bend your knee and press down along the patella. You can clearly feel the tibia. One middle finger width away from the outer edge of the tibia is the course of the Stomach Meridian of Foot-Yangming in the calf. On this line, in the depression outside the patella and the ligament below the patella (patellar ligament) is the Dubi point. About one horizontal palm down from Dubi is the stomach's lower He point, Zusanli. One palm down again is the large intestine's lower He point, Shangjuxu. And one palm down again is the small intestine's lower He point, Xiajuxu. When constipated, pressing the Shangjuxu point often causes obvious soreness or tingling.

B. Start from Zusanli, and press along the outer side of the calf meridian from top to bottom, focusing on pressing and kneading the Shangjuxu and Xiajuxu points. The effect is better when there is local soreness or swelling.

(2) Point branch ditch

A. Raise your forearm with your palm facing you and five fingers spread out. Place one palm above the horizontal line on the back of your wrist (four fingers together make one palm). The Zhigou point is located in the middle of the two bones of the forearm (ulna and radius).

B. Zhigou point is a special acupoint for treating constipation. You can press it repeatedly at any time and number of times to help facilitate bowel movements.

Traditional Chinese medicine has a long history. Many people use traditional Chinese medicine to regulate their bodies, which can gradually treat all aspects of their bodies. So when you are constipated, you can use Chinese medicine massage methods. The above-mentioned laxative acupoints can help you. If you have constipation problems, you can massage the above-mentioned acupoints to achieve the laxative effect.
