How do you get a tendon sheath fibroma?

How do you get a tenosynovial fibroma?

1. Tenosynovial fibroma is a benign lesion of unknown etiology and belongs to collagen fibroma.

2. Collagen fibroma is a benign fibrous tissue tumor that can occur in subcutaneous tissue and skeletal muscle. If it appears in the tendon sheath of a joint, it is a tendon sheath fibroma, which mainly appears in the wrist joint, finger joint, toe joint and other areas. The high-incidence age is 20 to 50 years old, and it is more common in men. It can be single or multiple, with clear boundaries, regular shape, and leaf state.

3. So far, the cause of the disease is still unclear. It may be related to acute or chronic strain of the tendon sheath, autoimmune factors, congenital factors, emotions or environment, but there is no relevant evidence to confirm it. Most diseases have no obvious signs and do not require special treatment under the premise of no symptoms. However, if it grows to a certain extent, symptoms such as local swelling, joint pain and weakness may occur, requiring surgical resection. Clinical cure can be achieved after surgical resection, and most of them do not recur.

4. Tumors in the tendon sheath are not necessarily fibromas, but may also be tendon sheath cysts. It is recommended that after discovering abnormal tumors on the body surface, you should first seek medical attention to clarify the specific cause and choose an appropriate treatment plan. During the treatment of the disease, patients need to strengthen their personal life care, such as avoiding short-term excessive joint activity and eating more foods containing protein and vitamins, such as soy products, poultry, fish, fresh fruits and vegetables.
