Can avoiding estrogen prevent breast cancer? The 6 best ways to treat breast cancer

Breast cancer is a common malignant tumor in women. The incidence of breast cancer in my country is gradually increasing, seriously threatening women's life safety and physical and mental health. Do you know how to treat breast cancer?

There are six treatments for breast cancer, including surgery, radiotherapy, endocrine therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and traditional Chinese medicine treatment, which are still effectively used in clinical practice.

Treatment options for breast cancer

(1) Surgical treatment

It is a radical treatment for early breast cancer and a palliative treatment for late breast cancer. Total mastectomy, combined with axillary dissection and preservation of the pectoral muscles, is considered the modern standard treatment for patients with stage I breast cancer and some stage II patients.

(2) Radiotherapy

It is one of the main treatment methods for this disease and belongs to local treatment. Radiotherapy is used for: ① radical radiotherapy; ② preoperative and postoperative adjuvant therapy; ③ palliative radiotherapy. The initial effect of radiotherapy, supplemented by a smaller surgical range (such as tumor resection), is encouraging.

(3) Endocrine therapy

Surgical resection and radiotherapy can achieve the goal of radical cure, and endocrine therapy can control the growth and regression of breast cancer. About 1/3 of patients with advanced breast cancer can achieve complete or partial remission through ovarian, adrenal or pituitary resection.

(4) Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy has become an active treatment measure for breast cancer at all stages. In early cases, chemotherapy can improve the cure rate in addition to radical treatment. In late cases, chemotherapy combined with other treatments can also alleviate the condition and prolong survival. Breast cancer is more sensitive to chemotherapy. It is more suitable for menopausal women with positive lymph node signs.

(5) Immunotherapy

For many years, people have been exploring immune methods to treat breast cancer. In theory, immunotherapy is the most specific, damaging only tumor cells without harming normal cells. The therapeutic effect is systemic and is suitable for the treatment of non-localized tumors. So far, although it has been tried many times, it has not achieved the desired effect.

(6) Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment

Traditional Chinese medicine has its own characteristics in treating tumors. For all breast cancer patients, whether they are undergoing postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy or radiotherapy, they should take Chinese medicine to correct and eliminate evil and improve their anti-cancer ability. During chemotherapy and radiotherapy, Chinese medicine treatment can reduce toxic side effects and improve the anti-cancer effect.

Early prevention of breast cancer

1. Avoid mental stimulation, maintain emotional stability, cultivate good psychological quality, and improve the body's ability to fight cancer. Proper exercise can reduce the incidence of breast cancer.

2. Getting enough sunlight can provide the body with the necessary vitamin D. Vitamin D can prevent breast cancer. Ensuring 10-15 minutes of sunlight every day can prevent breast cancer.

3. Avoid excessive radiation. Especially during menstruation and pregnancy, people are very sensitive to radiation and should try to avoid it.

4. Provide proper physiological protection for the breasts. Breastfeeding is encouraged and weaning should be done slowly. Use appropriate bras to improve breast blood and lymph circulation.

5. Timely treatment of breast precancerous lesions, such as cystic lobular hyperplasia, papilloma, epithelial hyperplasia and atypical hyperplasia.

6. Properly control the intake of animal fat and drink less alcohol. Excessive consumption of meat, fried eggs, butter and animal fat will increase the risk of breast cancer; green vegetables, fruits, fresh fish and dairy products can reduce the risk of breast cancer.

7. Menopausal women should try to avoid using estrogen.

8. Regular physical examinations. Experts recommend that women over 35 years old should undergo breast ultrasound, breast dialysis or mammography every 2-3 years. Breast cancer patients over 40 years old should have a checkup once a year.
